About

Q: Who are you?
A: I'm Rachelle, an artist who recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Animation. I concentrate on visual development, concept art and creating stories through comics. When I'm not drawing, I'm usually hiking, learning Swedish (Svenska) or reading comics. I also love collecting art books from animated films with unique styles.

Q: Are you available for Freelance?
A: Why yes I am.

Q: What digital art programs do you use?
A: I used to work with Photoshop CS5, but it is becoming too expensive for my budget so I started using Manga Studio 5 for my personal work. It's a wonderful program. I highly recommend it.

Q: What other mediums do you like to use?
A: I personally love working with pen and ink. I discovered this during INKTOBER 2015.

Q: What kind of stuff do you draw?
A: I love drawing character designs and props and I am currently getting better at environments. I also just got into drawing comics. I'm also obsessed with the Medieval period, mythology and fantasy. I also love Scandinavian, Celtic, Maori and Native American folklore and art. So a lot of the stuff I'm interested in is applied to my personal work.

Q: Are you working on anything/ personal projects?
A: Yes! As of April 2016 I started drawing my first digital webcomic comic, A Little Dragon Trouble.

Q: Why are you learning Swedish? It's so random.
A: It's fun learning a language that you are interested in. Swedish is a beautiful sounding language. Also if you can speak Swedish, you can understand some Norwegian, Danish (in written form), and can speak it in some parts of Finland. Also Vikings!

Q: Who are your favorite artists?
A: Let's see... (pulls up Pinterest boards), John Bauer, John Howe, Minna Sundberg, Alphonse Mucha, Lorelay Bove, Amélie Fléchais, and Antonio Gaudi (but Rachelle, that's an architect!) I know his work still inspires me.
